Are You Video Marketing?

So, after listening to one experienced internet marketer or guru after another, I get the point - if you're not creating and posting videos to promote your business, you're falling way behind those who are actually succeeding online.

How about you? Have you started with video marketing? Want an easy way to do it?

A couple of days ago - and after four excruciating hours of working on it - I managed to create my first "Nervous Nellie' promotional video for a program I recently joined. To make it, I discovered a cool site where you can create good quality videos and photo snapshots. You can then download them to Google Drive, Dropbox, or your computer. It's a pretty basic tool, but its simplicity made it easy to shoot one video after another until I had one I liked. You hit the save button and download it to any location you want and you're done. The video recording site http://webcamera.io/  is only one app from a collection of apps at http://123apps.com/ - every one of which is just as simple and just as useful. If you've never shot a video before or just want a fast basic way to record your own marketing videos, 123Apps and Webcam.io are what you want.

Oh, and did I mention it's completely free to use? That pretty much makes it a no-brainer.

So, now my first video is out there doing the hard work of bringing me leads to one of my businesses. It's my first and I can't help but fear it's not good enough to do the job. Shoot one or more of your own, and you're likely to be just as anxious about it/them as I am. The anxiety is natural and I have a plan to overcome it.

Word to the wise? No matter how you feel about it, leave it alone for at least a week. Get comfortable living with doubt. Doubt - mostly of the irrational kind - is what kept you from making your own videos up until now, and it's doubt that will keep you from making another and another unless you get used to the feeling and can learn to ignore it or at least turn it into a more reasonable kind.

So, here's my first video. I committed myself to making one new video a week. I plan to leave the first one alone, but I'm also learning from what I like and don't like about it which all but guarantees the next one will be a bit better. Just click the pic below to have a look ...

I hope you'll share your own videos here when they're complete. There won't be any judgment at all. It might just encourage others to do the same. Until then ...

Cheers!

The 4 Most Popular Work-From-Home Jobs

If you dread the thought of hustling to hail a cab, riding the subway, driving in rush hour traffic or walking every day to get to the office, and you want to work your own hours, there has never been a better time to start working from home. There are millions of people all over the globe now telecommuting every day because its an easy and simple way to earn a living. All you need is a computer, an internet connection, and a good set of up-to-date skills. When you work from home, you enjoy the best of both worlds - the income of a regular full-time job plus time freedom, but minus the travel expenses and a host of other negatives that come with working for someone else.

There are numerous jobs you can do from home these days. Here are just some of the most popular options available to you ...

Web Developer:

Building your own website has become fairly easy if you take advantage of the various tools and learning opportunities available online. Most of the time though, these drag-and-drop webpages and sites are only the most basic. These days, to be successful and project a professional appearance, businesses need more advanced full-featured websites. If you already have the skills or are able to learn them, in a relatively short time, you can become a full-time profitable web developer working from home or anywhere else there's a speedy internet connection. You don’t have to have an advanced degree to work as a developer, just an easy-to-develop reasonably impressive programming and design portfolio and you'll be good to go. All the training you need is available online and most of it's free.

Freelance Writer:

It's great news that writers are needed now more than ever to consistently develop new articles, and come up with creative ideas and content needed to fill up content marketing webpages. Some websites may have in-house writers, but a large number of them choose to outsource their needs to content creators and freelance writers. If you have the talent and the experience writing and can come up with unique angles and ideas, you can start working with freelance websites such as Upwork.com and Elance.com.

Online Trading:

One of the riskiest yet most profitable work-at-home job options you can consider is online trading. Here, you trade stock and other commodities like binary options on a daily basis. You must have proper strategies and use appropriate tools for making the trades in order to earn profits. You cannot just trade binary options, futures or stock based on luck. You have to be able to interpret and predict the movements of the market to make the most of its highs and lows. You'll need to have access to at least some modest capital and working knowledge of the market before you jump in.

Blogger:

This is perhaps the most demanding and creative work-from-home job you can do because it requires you to build it up yourself. In addition, it typically takes a long while for blogs to start earning any money, so it's best at first to do it part time. Certainly, there's a lot of potential in blogging if you choose the right topics and tone for sharing information with the public. Once you build up an audience, you can easily monetize your blog through display ads, affiliate marketing with Amazon, Ebay, Clickbank, through sponsored posts, etc.

The ways to earn an income from home before the rise of the internet were already plentiful. Now that this vast and massive online marketplace exists and is only an internet connection away, the ways to earn money seem virtually endless with new innovative methods popping up daily. For many more ideas, Google, Bing, Yahoo and other search engines are your friends. Get to know them and do a bit of research and you just might earn your financial freedom in a very short period of time.

Cheers!

(Free Online Audiobook) "The Success Principles: How To Get From Where You Are To Where You Want To Be" by Jack Canfield

Lately, I've been self-conscious of the fact I haven't taken time to read more than a couple of books over the last few years. There was a time when reading two or three books a week and journaling about my reading was the unquestioned purpose of my life, but my goal of earning a livable income online has overshadowed even that. In spite of the fact reading a lot more could have helped me to success by now, I just haven't take the time. It's a huge mistake and one I'm trying to remedy.

Perhaps the most obvious solution to the problem is to listen to audiobooks while I'm busy with surfing traffic exchanges and sending out repetitive marketing emails. The problem - like so many doing the same things - is that I just don't have the extra income to buy as many audiobooks as I need to keep me listening every work day of the year. Luckily, and by accident, I discovered that YouTube has quite a few free quality unabridged audiobooks of titles that are absolute essentials to the entrepreneur's library, and there are many fiction titles too. The self-help books are great, but you need to give it a rest regularly to let the knowledge sink in. Fiction is a good break.

In Jack Canfield's "The Success Principles" - an abridged version - I've selected both a title I haven't yet listened to and one I believe will be interesting to anyone, but is especially of value to anyone attempting to earn enough money to fund their dreams.

Give it a listen and, if you have the time, simply search "audiobook" on YouTube and you'll discover the many titles available. All in all, I hope it helps you in your goals. Once you're done, I hope you'll return here and let me and others know what it meant to you, what you take away from the book, and what it means for your future.

Cheers!

The 2 Essential Steps To Wake To Your Tomorrow!

Generally, the things we already have remain "wants" - i.e., we "want" to keep them. Those who are awake, those who are actively living recognize it took action to acquire what they have AND it requires action to keep it. Complacency, apathy are states of failure, of loss, of dying, and of death. Life cannot abide such things and is defined by their opposites.

To succeed in acquiring those things we want most, we have to break the habit of defaulting in our living, of essentially sleepwalking our way day upon day. To, as I like to say, "Wake Up To Tomorrow", we must first consciously mark what it is we want and why we want it. That becomes our all-important motivation we can return to again and again to keep us on track and actively living. That's Part One. In Part Two, we must figure out the when, the where, perhaps the who, and certainly the how. This becomes our strategy, our plan. This becomes the stones upon which we walk, the paved road we take to what we need in our lives to be our own definition of successful and to feel genuinely happy.

Wake up to your tomorrow. Refuse to settle into the sleep of default. Become an agent of life rather than a mere tool. Know what you really want, have a strategy, have a plan and, through easy, small, smart consistent steps ... make it happen.

And don't look back.

5 Top Online Entrepreneurs On YouTube

Actually, I guess you can take the title above with a grain of salt - they may or may not be "top" from your viewpoint. Its just my point of view.

There's an incredible wealth of experience, knowledge and teaching in YouTube's collected videos and I think - that is, if you're not whittling down your 100-books-in-a-year reading list - you should be watching YouTube videos at least an hour or two a day. Let that be your daily smart consistent one-step-forward to your success if you haven't anything else in mind. Just use search terms you think will get you videos on the topics you think you should be learning about. I usually put in "work from home online", "earn money online", "home based business", "learn how to ... ", etc. Even when I'm repeating searches, I always get far more to watch than I need for that day. Make sure you're filtering the results for the most recent videos and work backward from there - YouTube has a lot of outdated videos too.

All I know is, I've learned a great deal from all five of the marketers listed below and I continue to learn from them every day, PLUS all five are a real pleasure to listen to. Taken together, you have an incredible amount of content to enjoy and learn from, so, here they are ...

(Listed in the order I personally discovered them.)

1. King Human - You're probably going to find him a bit rough around the edges - hell, he might even piss you off - but one thing you won't do is forget much of what he reveals to you. I found him insulting the first time I listened and was convinced I'd never watch another minute of his crap, but the strangest thing happened - the next day, I couldn't wait to watch more of his videos. He talks about an incredible diversity of subjects, has almost 118, 000 subscribers and almost 24 million views. That says a lot.

2. Homemade Entrepreneur - He's only been online since 2013, but has over 8,000 subscribers and nearing half a million views of his videos. He likes to use the whiteboard to illustrate a lot of what he talks about and gives a lot of hands-on views of many of the things he's successfully doing to earn money online. I have over a dozen of his videos I watch multiple times to re-inspire me to succeed on line. I think you'll get a lot from listening and watching his content which amounts in the hundreds of hours. It's hard to believe you can get such value for free.

3. Project Life Mastery - The very first video I watched of Stefan Pylarinos was aimed at teaching you how to write your first ebook in just 24 hours. Because my main goal for 2016 is to write and publish many of my own first ebooks, it was a subject I really needed to watch and I wasn't disappointed. A lot of Stefan's videos are of the same quality and very professional. Although many of them are promoting his products, there's still a lot of theory and how-to to glean and make your own. He has almost 70,000 subscribers and soon will reach 4 million views of his videos. Sweet.

4. Tai Lopez - Tai is a more recent discovery, although I've been watching his videos off and on for almost half a year. Like me, Tai reads an extraordinary amount daily, weekly, yearly and seems to retain most of what he reads. One advantage he has that most of us don't is, he's been able also to learn face to face with many mentors - a lot of those household names like Elon Musk, Richard Branson, Arnold Schwarzenneger, etc., and Tai seems to have succeeded big time with his life strategy. I find him the most pleasing to listen to and the most inspiring. His videos are a must, so get watching! Tai has over 450,000 subscribers and over 134 million views to his videos.

5. Dream Home Based Work - I discovered Lashay Hudson just the other day and, already, she's earned her place on my Most-Watched List. She has a real passion for service to the rest of us struggling to find ways to motivate ourselves AND to earn money at home and on the internet.  She seems to have acquired a great deal of experience and know-how which is really reflected in her videos. One thing she seems to have mastered is the art of sorting the wheat from the chaff, i.e., sorting legitimate work-from-home opportunities from the crap scams so many of us - including yours truly - get tangled in. You'll learn a lot with Lashay. She has 15,000+ subscribers and over 800,000 views to her videos.

I have no doubt this list will continue to grow both in length and in value as I browse and watch videos at YouTube. I'll also begin to integrate video content I find at other sites like Vimeo, etc. when I find it and it has relevance to the "Work From Home/Earn Money Online" niche.

Until then ... Cheers!
